13 day's to race day - La Gomera

Our first day in La Gomera and we were delighted to greet Tiny Dancer this morning, by the water where she belongs and lined up against 15 other boats already in situ.

Today we have been 'pre-scrutineering' with two race inspectors who came to have a look around the boat, the set-up and the kit. The race inspectors' role is to decide if we as a crew and the boat are capable and suitably equipped to start t he race and have the power to vito any crew's start. After this, we then started to work through our food rations, itemising each packet - and there is around 1,000 of them! More of this tomorrow and and pretty much all week, hoping to hit the water on Thursday and then have to plan in our 24hr row...the final qualifier...
